Bike MS passes through the Kansas City Metro into the back roads of Kansas' finest countryside. The routes include fully-stocked rest stops every 10-15 miles, a great lunch stop on Saturday and safety provided by volunteer EMT’s, HAM radio operators, the police department and bicycle repair from our partner bike shops. We will conclude the day at South Park in Lawrence, KS, where you will be treated to a fun Gears & Grooves Festival featuring massages, musical entertainment, food and Boulevard beer. Everyone is up early on Sunday for a free pancake breakfast by Chris Cakes and on the road where the route heads you back to Olathe, KS for a finish line celebration and a great feeling of accomplishment.
Your participation will aid in assisting support programs, services, and research that makes a huge difference to the people who must fight MS every day of their lives. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to a vision of a world free of MS.
Shuttles: Purchase a $5 ticket and receive shuttle service to your hotel on Saturday and back to the start line on Sunday. The shuttle bus sign-up will be available in the Village.
One Day Bus: A shuttle back to the Olathe from Lawrence is available for those only participating on Saturday. Please register as a One Day Bus participant to save your spot.
All of your belongings must fit into two bags. This includes your camping gear. Try not to pack anything that is breakable and keep your bags as light as possible (for you and the volunteers). You will receive two luggage tags imprinted with your rider number. Please attach these tags securely to your luggage. Limit two tags/bags per cyclist, including bed-roll or tent. Weight limit per bag is 50 lbs.
All along South Park (11th to 12th Street), Massachusetts Street will be closed for Bike MS. Enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere of live music, local food vendors, bounce houses and more. Invite your friends and family to join the celebration.
